Kiirsi Hellewell is a close friend of Susan’s. Kiirsi and Susan first met when Susan and Josh moved to Utah in the spring of 2004. Susan and Kiirsi became very close friends and their families did many activities together for the next 5 years until Susan disappeared on December 6, 2009. Since Susan’s disappearance, Kiirsi started a Facebook group for Susan (“Friends and Family of Susan Powell”), a Facebook page (“Friends and Family of Susan Cox Powell”), a blog for Susan to provide news and updates on Susan’s disappearance, and she also maintains the Find Susan Twitter account. She is a member of the Susan, Charlie and Braden Memorial Committee and functions as the social/alternative media person in the Susan Cox Powell Foundation.
Kiirsi graduated from LDS Business College and Brigham Young University with a B.A. in English. She lives in Utah and is the mother of 3 children.
